Have only recently had my rain chain hung. We have not had any rain since then so I can't report on how it works but it sure does look nice.

We're undecided on whether to apply clear-coat to maintain the "shiny new penny" look or them to oxidize and develop a patina. They are a joy to watch in the rain.

I ordered the installation kit and rain chain directly from Monarch Abode which was priced less than Amazon. The order arrived a few days later. This is my second Monarch rain chain and same my first rain chain the quality is excellent. The installation was easy and took me about 15 mins to install. I installed the rain chain on an aluminum gutter from an insulated patio roof. I drilled a 2 5/8 inch hole, dropped in the drain and that was it.
